1. It started with one simple idea.
In March 2019, MomBoss began in Kenya as a Facebook community created to give women a supportive space to connect, recommend one another and grow their businesses.
There was no complicated strategy behind it. There was simply a need.
Women were building businesses, raising families, navigating entrepreneurship and trying to stay visible in a noisy world. By showing up together in one open space — the right referrals, kind words, expert tips, somewhere to show up.
And they did.
2. What we learned along the way.
Visibility creates familiarity. Familiarity builds trust.
Once seen — women came back.
A great business cannot grow if nobody knows it exists.
MomBoss became a place where women could consistently show up in front of a trusted audience — not once, but repeatedly.
